This one is pretty well self-explanatory. It was some breeze and I remember we were stranded in the old Ops building for around 12 - 14 hours. Our No. 2 i/c PO2 Harry Madden was sleeping in the crypto Room when the arms on my homemade two element ZL-Special beam disintegrated and came crashing down on the building roof, just above him. Poor Harry - I can't ever remember seeing a black guy looking so positively pale and it took a long time to get him quieted down again.

This one was taken the day following the "Big Wind" of Jan. 17/58. and the guy in the pic is the RCAF mechanic - first name Ivan - can't remember his surname.
Webmaster's note: Ivan is digging the "bomb" out of the snow in it's parking space. This happened often in the good old days. It was not uncommon after a blow to have to dig the Ops shift out of the Ops Building in order to change shifts.
