Headquarters, Administration and Personnel Services, is exactly what it implies.
This complex houses the Dining Hall, the Orderly Room, the Medical Inspection Room,
the Post Office, the Junior Ranks Mess, the Wo"s & Sgt's Mess, the Theater, the Radio and
Television stations, the Library, the Canex and several other club rooms.
Probably the most important function is the area called "Cinzano Beach". This area is located
on the lower floor and anyone entering the complex must pass through or past this area.
It is the hangout, so to speak where everyone can stop by any time day or night and get
themselves a coffee, tea or hot chocolate and just generally lollygag. It is the
foremost socializing area for everyone regardless of rank or office.
In 1995, with the downsizing of Alert personnel, the Senior Staff Mess was moved from
Building 53 to one of the new accomodation Buildings, thus completing the circle that began in 1967.
